Saturday island hopping from Cordova (near Mactan)
· If anything here disagrees with the live calendar, Departures and your booking email win.
Every Saturday, we take a small group of guests out on a shared bangka trip from Cordova RORO Port on the Mactan side. You pay per seat, the boat fills up, and everyone has a good time on the water. This page walks you through exactly what to expect before you even show up at the pier.
Where to meet us
We meet at Cordova RORO Port, also called the Cordova ferry terminal. This is not a resort, not a Cebu City pier, and definitely not somewhere you can find by just typing "Mactan island hopping" into Google Maps. Use the pin on our contact page so your driver drops you at the right gate. We aim to board and push off by 8:00 AM, so arriving a few minutes early saves everyone the stress.
One more thing: the terminal charges its own pier fee at the gate, usually around 10 pesos per person. This is collected by the port staff and is separate from what you paid us for your seat. It is not optional, so just have a small bill ready.
What is included on the trip
Here is what comes with your Saturday seat:
- A proper bangka with shade, benches, tables, and a crew who knows these waters well.
- A Filipino-style lunch most weeks, plus rice and soft drinks. We will brief the specifics for your departure date.
- Speakers and karaoke on the boat. Yes, it gets loud. Yes, it is part of the fun.
- Swim and snorkel time when the weather and tides are working in our favor. Island stops can also be arranged on the day with the crew, though some spots charge their own hut or eco fee that you pay locally.
- A comfort room onboard. It is a bangka, not a hotel, so set your expectations accordingly and you will be fine.
Prefer the boat to yourselves? Check out our private boat option. Same good vibes, same crew, but you choose the date and the guest list.
Pricing and how many seats we take
Shared seats are priced at ₱1,099 / person. You can check open Saturdays and live seat counts on the Departures page. We cap the boat at around 20 guests so it never feels overcrowded.
A trip gets marked as Confirmed once roughly 16 paid seats are locked in. If a Saturday does not reach that number before the cutoff, we will process refunds following our refund policy. We know that is not the answer anyone wants to hear, but we would rather be upfront about it than leave people guessing.
What to bring
Keep it simple and practical:
- A dry bag, your swimsuit, a cover-up, reef-safe sunscreen, and a towel.
- Cash in small bills for hut fees, cold buko juice when you find a vendor, and a tip for the crew if they made your day.
Your photos after the trip
Every paying guest gets an invitation to a private sail-day photo album where you can view and download the original-quality shots. Look for the email after the trip, then log in at My album or go straight to albums.hoponcebu.com. We keep this area out of public search results intentionally, so only guests with the link can get in.
